George D.

We were using Manta's Powertest and they were not going to upgrade the software to work with Windows XP. After demoing RTS, we found it much more user friendly & it operated the test sets so much better.

  • What is your job title?

    I am a meter/relay craftsman. I’ve worked for WAPA for 7 years.

  • What made you pick up RTS?
Was there a specific problem/need that caused you to seek out the application?

ENOSERV RTS was the only product that didn't tie me to a particular test set. RTS also gave me the tools that I needed to be able to develop automated testing for Intelligent Relays.

  • Have you tried other relay testing applications?
    How does RTS compare?

Yes. Other products are still not as complete or as easy to use as RTS.

  • Do you use any other applications to compliment RTS?

The only application that I use with RTS is SEL 5010 software. This is only because the SEL 5010 is our "standard" for containing relay settings.

  • How has your personal style & workflow changed since learning RTS?

I have progressed in routine complexity as I have become more knowledgeable with RTS.

  • Is there anything else regarding your experience with ENOSERV software that our readers would find interesting or useful?

With RTS, I have all the tools that I need to get work done. As test sets change, I will not need to learn another software interface. This alone saves time (usually out of town).
