REPORTS TO: CFO - Tulsa, OK
JOB OBJECTIVE: Responsible for all sales activities, from cold-call lead generation through close in the domestic (North American) assigned territory. Implements agreed upon Sales Plan which will meet both personal and business goals of expanding customer base in the marketing area. Works within the sales and support teams for the achievement of customer satisfaction, revenue generation, and long-term account goals in line with company vision and values.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: (The following duties are not intended to serve as a comprehensive list of all duties performed in this classification. - Responsible for the sales of System Protection & Control software solutions exclusively to the electric utility industry and associated industrials that generate electric power for plant operations.
- Demonstrates technical selling skills and product knowledge in all areas listed above that allows Sales to give effective presentation of software system solutions.
- Demonstrates the ability to gather, submit detailed business information for underwriting, pricing, and presentation of solutions to identified prospects' business problems.
- Complete understanding of pricing and proposal models.
- Demonstrates the ability to carry on a business conversation with business stakeholder(s) and decision makers.
- Sells consultatively and makes recommendations to prospects and clients of the various solutions the company offers to their business issues.
- Conducts effective proposal presentations and RFP responses that identify prospects business problems, the effects of the problems, and the Company software solutions to their problems.
- Maintains accurate records into company sales system software, currently ACT database of all qualified leads through referrals, telephone cold-calling, face to face interaction during trade shows, road shows and other meeting and networking opportunities and sale activities including presentations, closed sales, and follow-up activities within assigned territory.
- Provide regular sale prospect reporting as directed by senior management.
- Responsible for sourcing and developing client relationships and referrals.
- Maximizes all opportunities in the process of closing a sale resulting in the taking of market share from larger competitors.
- Adheres to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.
- 40 to 45 hours per week expected, 15-25% travel.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:
- 5+ years’ demonstrated success in senior sales across multiple (national or international) markets
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Demonstrated systems/IT expertise with high technical aptitude
- Experience with enterprise software solutions and large, complex organizations.
- Strong mastery of sales psychology and sales training techniques
- Thorough knowledge of contracting, negotiating, and change management
- Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quota goals and revenue expectations
- Evidence of successfully working in a “team” environment
- Demonstrated knowledge of MS Office applications and project management software
- Demonstrated exemplary written and verbal communication skills across multi-disciplinary functions and departments
- Proactive problem solving ability with a solutions-oriented attitude
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to handle stress in a professional and productive manner
- Willingness to travel and work in a team of professionals.
- Proven ability to achieve sales quotas.
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
- Ability to use personal computer, calculator, fax machine, and other necessary office equipment
- Persistent, repetitive movements of the hands, wrists and fingers and the ability to sit for long periods of time
- Could involve some lifting, up to approximately 50 pounds
- Ability to travel, as needed, by plane or car
