ENOSERV takes Vector to the next level with expanded playback of Comtrade files

TULSA, Oklahoma-October 2010--The upcoming release of ENOSERV Vector 5.2.1.4 will bring increased flexibility in handling imported Comtrade files within the Transient Playback feature.

Improvements in the new release due out early October include:

• Ability to work with some of the more complex Comtrade variants: binary data files, multiple data files, & files with per-channel time skew

The Comtrade/Transient feature is available when using the Doble F6000 series test sets. Besides the Comtrade playback change, Vector 5.2.1.4 will perform better error-checking. Having observed that the Comtrade records provided by some relays do not meet the Comtrade specification, ENOSERV has expanded Vector’s ability to handle these files gracefully and reliably rather than aborting the import operation.
