Featured NERC expert speaker, Chad Murdock, biography: A former employee of the Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC) Compliance Department, Chad worked as a key developer of the Compliance Member Web Portal System. After the launch of the Web Portal System, Chad lead a three-month training tour to train Master Account Administrators in the Web Portal System. This training instructed the Administrators in how to managing registration, periodic data submittals, self-certification, as well as, submitting files via the secure file upload feature. Since the training tour Chad worked in continuing development in the Compliance Issues Tracking System (CITS) which will be launched around 4th Quarter 2009.  This CITS system will bring a whole other chapter to reporting compliance issues and violations to your regional entity.

Chad’s time at WECC was not only spent on developing the web portal system and CITS applications, but also being a leader of a team of data analyst who processed all compliance related data from each of the eight monitoring processes laid out in the WECC Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Program (CMEP).  Chad also actively participated in compliance audits and is certified as a North American Electric Reliability Corporation Audit Team Leader.
